Pressure Cooker Recipe
Nasi Briyani
This is a recipe of Nasi Briyani for 4 person.
The ingredient that you need:
- 500gram of Rice
- 650ml plain water
- 1 small box of Raisins
- 60g of Pure Ghee / Minyak Sapi
- Herbs; Cinnamon@Kayu Manis, Bunga Lawang(Star shaped), Buah Pelaga. (I put 1 cinnamon, 3 Bunga Lawang and 3 Buah Pelaga)
Cinnamon
Buah Pelaga
Bunga Lawang
- 1 Pack of Maggi Nasi Briyani Seasoning
- Evaporated Milk@Susu Sejat(1/8 of the milk tin)
- Some Ginger, Garlic and some Onions mince together. (Normally I put 1/2 onion, 5 to 6 garlic slices and 1 slice of ginger)
Now the cooking starts!!
-Switch ON the pressure cooker and press STIR FRY then ON.
-Put in the Pure Ghee and let it melt.
-Then fry the onion, garlic, and ginger mixture until fragrance.
-Add in the herbs and stir for 1 min.
-After that put in 650ml of plain water and 500grams of rice inside.
-Now put in the Maggi Nasi Briyani Seasoning. 1 packet is for 500grams of rice.
-Put in the Raisin.
-Pour in some evaporated milk.
-Press OFF and cover the pressure cooker.
-After you put on the cover, press HIGH PRESSURE 8 times, so you'll get 8 mins of High Pressure cooking time. After that press ON.
-Wait till its done!
Now some notes here, use a WOOD spatula. This is to prevent from the pressure cooker non stick pot from scratch.
It is normal for the rice to look WET after its done cooking, just stir the rice together and wait for a few mins for it to dry a lil bit.
So after the 8 mins are up, you'll hear a BEEP sound TWICE.
BE VERY CAREFUL TO RELEASE THE PRESSURE BEFORE YOU OPEN THE COVER.
Just touch the pressure knob with the wood spatula, and the pressure will come out by itself.
The circled part are the pressure cooker knob. Touch it using a wood spatula to release pressure. The pressure will go UPWARDS. Practice caution when doing this.
Now after the pressure are gone, open the cover. Mix the rice and let it dry a bit. Normally it would take 5 to 10 mins.
The end result should look like this;
Happy Cooking!
